How we find them
Every trading day we scan the last six months of daily prices of 2,556 NSE stocks (close ₹20 or more, traded value ₹5 crore or more). A pattern is listed only when its peaks or lows are within 2% of each other, at least two to three weeks apart, with a move of 7% or more between them and a clear move into the pattern, and when the price has not broken beyond the pattern after its last turning point. These strict rules keep the list short and leave out many loose shapes other scanners show.
Limits: daily prices only (no weekly charts); triangles, wedges, flags and channels are not covered yet; a pattern can disappear the next day if the price moves through it.
Quick answers
What is a neckline in a chart pattern?
The line the pattern has to break to be complete: for double and triple bottoms the highest point between the lows, for tops the lowest point between the peaks, and for head and shoulders the line joining the turning points between the head and the shoulders.
What do 'forming' and 'confirmed' mean here?
Forming: the price is still between the neckline and the pattern's peaks or lows. Confirmed: the stock closed beyond the neckline within the last 10 sessions.
Do chart patterns predict the price?
No. They describe how the price moved in the past. Many patterns fail or reverse after the neckline is crossed. Use them as one input alongside results, news and valuation, not as a signal on their own.
